Ford power balance

    Why is Ford power balance so slow? Almost full second or more between updated live readings....very disappointed with that.......other than that this scanner is great,I'm coming from asnap on modis ultra and this does way more functions.

       Enjoy your new tool.I think its a great unit. I have the MaxiSys 908 as well I didn't notice the Ford Power balance as slow as you are saying.Maybe drop the app and re install it.

    Maybee was just that vehicle.it was a 2013 ford f150 5.0L

    You have to use the usb cable to speed it up a bit, bluetooth is not recomended for this
    function also when flashing you most use your usb cable but remember it will never be
    as fast as the ford vcm/ids software but is good enough

     The power balance is not intended to be "live" data. It is designed as historical data collection to produce a graphed display of misfire event. This is nothing more than an enhanced mode six misfire register and should be utilized as such. If you want live then grab a scope.

     It is actually live data off the ckp sensor to detect real time misfire,highly used through Ford as a start to identify misfire.have been with Ford 14 years now.but yes scope will be more direct in diagnosis but 99/100 power balance always correct live readings.thanks for reply though.
